Our older daughter was married in a beautiful outdoor wedding at our old Farm property in Wallace Bay last August and, at Christmas, we learned that the newly weds were pregnant with a baby due in early July. And, true to the promise, the baby was born at about 3:00am last Tuesday. N and I drove to Halifax and back twice to see the little family and we were thrilled to see such a beautiful new life come into the world.
But the next day we received a call from our relatives in BC informing us that N's dad had finally succumbed to health problems he has been battling for several months. He only lasted one month in a seniors care facility. Our joy quickly turned to sorrow with that news even though it was not unexpected. Grandpa would have been excited to meet his first great grand child but instead I believe he passed his life force along to someone else who needed it. I hope she will represent it well.
Do you believe that one life can be passed to another?

HI Greg,
Both congratulations and sympathy are in order. I haven't met baby, but she is gorgeous in her photos. But Norene's dad was a complete sweetheart and I feel honoured that we got to meet him.
Thanks for making our trip to Nova Scotia such a pleasure.
Stay feisty,
Barbara
